PORTRAITS
Painting a portrait is very special. It is a painting of a moment in time that someone is going to treasure. I enjoy the challenge of a portrait, but it can be quite stressful since, for me, the important thing is to get a good likeness. I take dozens of reference photos of the subject and work from these. Although it might often be easier to paint with the figure sitting in front of you, most children get very bored sitting still. E-mail me to discusss a portrait painting.
